Tension Reliever

Yesterday morning, little Alvin you see here was captured by the great tabby hunter, also known as my nephew, Bob.....Alvin was carried in to Bob's house, and chased around for awhile, then he ended up cornering himself in the cubby under the breakfast room banquette.....Bob, or should I say, Blob, just plunked himself down and blocked all exit from the spot and watched poor Alvin as he tried to find an escape. Fortunately, Bob's mother was there to effect freedom for Alvin while distracting Bob with some food.
The lazy hunter laying on his back watching Alvin!
We've been informed that Chatham residents should evacuate and that conditions are going to deteriorate very quickly here tomorrow. The storm, as feared, has moved a bit west. We were also told that power will be lost very early on and be off for quite awhile. Twisting the tension knife here.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, the contractors had to take out the entire french door wall today to get the new shower into LM's house....delaying the process immensely but they assure us the house will be weather tight tomorrow. The shower could not stay outside. No toilet installed! Going to the Council on Aging tomorrow morning to borrow a portable to get us through.

There are tornadoes, water spouts and severe t-storms mixed in to Earl so we are in for some fun. We've been cautioned to unplug all electronics so I will not have computer access for awhile. I will post ASAP after the storm.

To insure Ms G's safety, one of my co-workers is bringing me a large carrier tomorrow so we will put her in that for safe keeping during the worst of the storm. My fear is a tree falling, opening the house and Ms G on the lam in abject fear! She will not be happy about being imprisoned but it is protective custody. (I'll photograph the prisoner!)

Oh, man! I hope it doesn't get too severe! I'm still getting mixed forecasts around here, but if Cape Cod is definitely going to get hit, Long Island has a good chance too.
In any event, be safe! ♥

I thought about you as Brian Williams (NBC) told me about the storm heading for you. I will pray you all are safe. So, are you staying at home? Please be safe!
