Almost Wordless Wednesday

Yes, that is heavy rain bouncing off the street and front walk at work yesterday. It was like that all day and very dark. Same thing continuing today. It has rained 20 of the last 23 days. Enough!!! There are many tourists here for their summer vacations but 60 degrees and steady rain were not part of their plan, so they spend the day driving, and hopefully, they are shopping at local merchants. There is rain in my soul, too. Here's hoping it is washing away the grief!

In the feline world......The cat that LM's daughter gave him a few weeks ago, now has a nice new home and is very happy! We have no idea why she was so unhappy with LM. Ms G thinks he has great kitty karma.

I think you are getting our rain. We had rain forever, but the last week has been sunny and nice. Few days in the 90's but the last four days in high 70's...perfect!! You need to do a REVERSE raindance!!...debbie

good morning! I thought of you yesterday during Dr. Phil. It was about Grief. Most of them were tramatic deaths. However, he said this: "Emotions can be overwhelming in the midst of grief — so much so that just "getting through" each day is difficult. During this time it's important to remember that there are no guidelines for the recovery process. People heal in their own time and in their own way."

•Don't be in a hurry to get through the grieving process. Allow yourself to do what you feel you need to do from day to day.

•Know that it is not a betrayal to the memory of your loved one to begin the healing process.

•Honor your loved one by talking about his or her life and sharing what you will miss the most.

•Ask yourself what the deceased would want you to do.

•Find a meaning and a purpose for being here.

Hope you don't mind me sending this. I thought it might be of some help...debbie

Oh, Debbie, that is so nice of you to pass that on.
This week I turned a corner in the grief. Although, I still fill up with tears at times, my spirits are lighter. I have begun walking again, too. We still do not have sunny skies but soon, I hope.
Happy weekend and again, thank you so much. You are very thoughtful!

You know, this May was five years since my daddy passed away and I still cry sometimes and I still miss him terrribly. BUT, there are times that something will happen and I KNOW he is with me and that makes me smile and I say "HI Dad!"...I know he is in a better place and that makes me happy.

Hello,
On another subject, WOW, my Yankee magazine arrived yesterday, and I enjoyed the story and pictures of the beautiful shingled homes your company designs.
