To mark the auspicious occasion of the sisters' reunion, I made bracelets for all the sisters and the nieces present, from glass beads in shades of purple. It popped in to my head on the way to Canada that we should have a photo of our hands wearing the momentos. These photos capture the fun of the event, and then, of course, out of my bag of tricks, I had to pull some spare bracelets for the guys, and they joined the fun.
At bottom are LM's and my hands....he got a turquoise bracelet!
Emmy's boyfriend, Matt, gets on a chair to photograph the sisters' hands and there was lots of laughing!!

More of the hilarity that was capturing just the right hand photos. |

A nice photo of Margaret and Jerry, our wonderful hosts, at their front porch. |

What a great idea of the braclets and the pictures are a keepsake too!
I felt a lovely sense of calm when I saw the photo! Your creativity is a treasure!
Sorry to say, I can't get Google to keep me up to date about fav posts and have to catch posts as they pop, hard to do with any consistency. If you'd leave a comment, it would be tons easier to get back to you. :))) and hugs!
(We're off to Italy on the 28th. Can't wait!)
Yay, it worked. So much easier this way. Thanks! Hope you weather the storm. Our skies went from sunny to a heavy dark within seconds about half an hour ago. Bad stuff's coming down from Maryland.
Don't forget about me on your ark!
Oh I love the idea and the bracelets. It makes me smile to look at the picture of hands--you sure can tell the old(er) hands from the young ones, can't you. As I look down at my own hands, all purple raised veins and dark spots--oh gracious!! I used to pull the skin up on my grandma's knuckles and it would stay for a few seconds--now, I can do it with my own hands--creeps me out. LOL
What a wonderful idea. You are going to treasure that photo. So glad that you are enjoying your visit.
