Freaky Friday

Just after work last night, I stopped at my house to pick up groceries to take to LM's for the weekend. As I made my way out to the car with the first bag, I slipped on the front walk (c0vered with pink petals from two nearby ornamental cherry trees) and went face down HARD onto a cement parking stop in front of my car. I was out cold and when I came to shortly, blood was gushing everywhere...thankfully, my cell phone was in my pocket and I instinctively called LM. All I could say was send the ambulance I've fallen. He called 911 for me and the good Chatham guys were there quickly. I had managed to get back in the house by the time they arrived and now the place looks like a murder scene.
The hospital took care of me immediately and a number of stitches were needed to close up the hairline injury....pretty deep and it hurt. I was already being treated when LM got to the ER. He was shocked to see my face.
Today I am resting at LM's, my eye is swollen shut and my face is getting more purple by the minute. I also injured my knee and the shoulder I've been nursing for months (just found out it is a rotator cuff tear).

These photos don't convey half the carnage, but this is graphic enough........
My faithful nurse early this morning.
There's a message from the universe in all this. I'll be meditating on it!

I am so sorry.
I cannot share what is on my heart
Again, just take care of yourself..]
I had a similar fall last fall. Not stitches but thought I had fractured my cheek bone.

Oh, I'm so sorry about your fall, Kitty! Glad that you're okay (mostly) and being well cared for by LM and Miss G. (she's such a sweetie!) Falling is such a worry. Be good to yourself, take the time to recuperate completely. (hugs)

Good Grief, Dear Heart. I had a fall like that once--on ice--flat on my face on the cement driveway. Perhaps we hurry too much in our movements? Take care--this too shall heal and pass.

Oh, I fell like that once. My teeth went through my top lip. It made me so mad! I try to be so careful now. I hope you are feeling better by the time you read this. Rest and heal...

Mama, I see Ms.G has things well in hands with taking care of you. What a horrible feeling that must have been waking up to that pain and confusion when you woke. Love you and hope you are feeling a bit better today with LM an Ms.G looking out for you.

Love,
Sara
