Thank you everyone for your kindness and concern about my fall and resulting injuries...I'm pretty sore, and still cannot see out of my left eye....due to swelling. The cuts are all pulling as the healing progresses. Everything hurts, but I am just taking it one minute at a time. Not sure if I will go to work tomorrow or not....the bruises, etc are pretty shocking to look at. We shall see.
Anyway, here, at last are the first of the photos of my Baltimore trips several weeks ago.
For many years I've been visiting my brother and his family in Baltimore the first weekend in May. We always do some fun touring in delightfully quirky Balti, but I enjoy a warm and beautiful break from the endless winter on Cape Cod. LM and I tearfully parted at the airport, and soon I was floating on a cloud on my way to summer.Within a few minutes the clouds gave way and the scenery was lovely. I had a very clear vie of NYC as we flew south along the west side of the Hudson River, with a very clear view of the city and Central Park.
My SIL, Jenni, greeted me at the airport, and we drove immediately to a great Mexican restaurant to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with some delicious food. After a walk, we were finally at their house and I had a great walk around their garden to take pictures in the glowing late afternoon sun.
Front porch pansies.....
A lovely columbine on the front steps.
Root beer iris....
Pansies that return every year.
Poppies lit by the sun
The flowers are so pretty and the foliage is so different and soft.
Alium were everywhere
I settled in and we caught up on news, and it was early to bed as Friday would be a big day with a lovely tour to LaDew Gardens and lunch at Cafe Hon in Hampden were on tap. I love being with my brother and family so much!!

does the columbine live in a pot? Does it return every year?
Those flowers, the company, and the time away must have all been very uplifting for you. I'm so glad you were able to have that time with your family.
Continued healing wishes sent to you this day...
Pictures are beautiful - thank you for sharing...
Beautiful pictures. I'm sorry I missed your post regarding your accident... I hope you recover as soon as possible ♥
Oh my!! How in the WORLD did I miss the last few very important posts??? I am so, so sorry about your fall! Your poor face! you must have been in some fierce pain! And your bad shoulder! Did your shoe catch on some concrete or something?? I just can't imagine nobody was around to help you!! How awful!! Am sending healing thoughts for quick recovery and hope you didn't further hurt your poor shoulder. I loved the photos! so pretty! I remember you saying you were going. Glad Ms G is taking good care of you!! BE CAREFUL PLEASE!!!...debbie
Thank you everyone.....I am at work today and still a bit shaky but it is good to be distracted and among friends.
Debbie, the fallen petals from two ornamental cherry trees made a slick carpet on the walk. I'd swept them up in the morning but they'd filled in again during the day, plus it was foggy so the walk was very slick.
I did hurt my shoulder a bit but it's manageable with ibuprofen for the most part.
You are all so caring...thank you!
Continued good healing thoughts coming your way. Baltimore is a fun place--I was there once and went to the Inner Harbor and a Crab Cake place in a bad part of town--good cakes however. The pix are outstanding!
Guess I need to stop reading backwards...so sorry you took such a terrible fall. Hope you are better very soon!
