Lack of Sleep

Yesterday afternoon when exhaustion and "rising to the occasion" just about got the best of me, a phrase was suddenly in my face and it literally saved me from saying and doing some things that could have altered my life and love permanently.....so, for today, here is my mantra, "Whatever is happening, is the path to enlightenment"....onward and upward, hoist on my own petard of saying frequently that learning is a lifelong commitment.

Working half a day today so I can have my taxes done. The sun is shining and I await a temp in the office to hold the fort in my absence.

Happy day to you all and enjoy your path!

I understand exactly what you are saying, as I had that day yesterday too. But, as you posted, the sun is shining, it is a new day.

.....hummmmm....a path to enlightenment...I'm waiting. Along with patience. When I get to the point of saying something, I now think of you, your face and I'm so busy doing that, that I forget my anger. Is that enlightment?? love you....debbie

You have it, Debbie, when I get to the point of wanting to say something I shouldn't, I STOP in my tracks and take stock of where I am, everything around me, and ask myself what is the lesson here. Usually, it is a case of me needing to put myself in the shoes of my "victim." Time to hold my arm out and place my issues in the palm of my hand and gently consider how I can do things differently.
My heart goes out to you as you travel this particular life journey. You will be fine, and it will all work out if you apply your usual grace to every situation.
Love you, too!

Ah yes--the old "holding of the tongue". I think as we get older, it becomes clearer to us to do so because we remember back when we didn't and the results were not good!

but at times fail
