June

It seems like I can't catch up with myself these days, so here's an effort to at least catch-up the blog on a bit of what's been happening in our world these last few weeks....Ms G had a very exciting time when she discovered Nature on PBS. Seems they have hummingbirds just for her entertainment, and ultimately ours....
In other June news, my dear brother, Ev, came to visit along nephew, Martin and Tiger.
.
After a trip to the back of the TV revealed no birds, she was back around to the front to try and make the capture. All the while her "people" were doing their best to stifle their hysterical laughter, as not to embarrass the poor girl.

She settled in to watch the entire hour and never gave up on her quest until the annual fundraiser pitches resumed.
Ev and Tiger in a moment of rest. It was a quick visit but we packed in a lot of fun and good food.

We visited the bountiful and beautiful Orleans Farmers market on Saturday morning.

Seeing this Farm Bureau sign reminded me of Dad. In my childhood years he was president of our local farm bureau, and I was always so thrilled when he would take me along to meetings.
Baby ducks!

This is my favorite booth at the market.  There are beautiful bouquets, homemade cards, lavender products, and catnip pillows!
The booth owner's cat and the catnip pillows.
The bouquets include the vases and are reasonably priced.

June has been full of other events .....more to come.
Hope everyone had a lovely 4th. Ours was very quiet with just a lovely poached salmon, fresh peas and new potatoes dinner.
Love to all.......

I loved these photos of the Farmer's Market. I wish we had such a nice market here. Those flower bouquets are beautiful, and the vegetables looked just wonderful.

I was happy read that you had a great visit from your brother.

Had a good chuckle at Ms G trying to find her birds! lol and I loved the photo of the cat sitting on the chair with front paws out front and the catnip pillows! I give Barney fresh catnip and he eats it and flop around on the floor - it's so funny!! I can't find the print about Bob. What has happened to him. Although I'm afraind to ask. Poor dear Bob....debbie
